'Health and financial reasons': German skating champion quits at 24

Berlin (dpa) - German figure skating champion Kristina Isaev has ended her career at age 24, citing "health and financial reasons" on Friday. Isaev finished 15th at this year's European championships which was not good enough to qualify for the world championships which would have given her an opportunity to make it to next year's Olympics in Italy.
