New orchid species discovered in Indonesia's Kalimantan

JAKARTA, May 22 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian Ministry of Forestry has announced the discovery of a new orchid species in a forest on Kalimantan Island. Krisdianto, head of the bureau of public relations and foreign cooperation at the ministry, said in a statement on Wednesday that the species was found during a biodiversity expedition conducted by the Bukit Baka Bukit Raya National Park Service.
