Namibia gets N.dollars 1.5 billion for water programme

WINDHOEK, 21 MAY (NAMPA) – Minister of Finance, Ericah Shafudah, on Tuesday signed a N.dollars 1.5 billion loan agreement with the German government through the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) to fund Namibia’s second Water Sector Programme.
According to the minister, the loan carries an interest rate of 10.09 per cent and has a 20-year repayment period, including a five-year grace period.
