Australian Stock Index Falling After Release of Macroeconomics Statistics

MOSCOW, May 5 (RIA Novosti) - Australia's stock index is falling on Monday morning after the release of the country’s macroeconomic statistics, while trading in China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan is not taking place due to the holiday, according to stock exchange data. As of 04:50 GMT, the Australian S&P/ASX 200 index fell by 0.8% to 8,172.4 points. As trading closed on Friday, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index rose by 1.74% to 22,504.68 points......
