German carmaking giant Audi reports fall in first-quarter profits

Munich (dpa) - German car manufacturer Audi on Monday reported a fall in first-quarter profits, amid ongoing struggles for the automotive industry. Profit after tax fell by 14.4% year-on-year to ?630 million ($715 billion), the company based in the Bavarian city of Ingolstadt said, although turnover rose from ?13.7 billion to ?15.4 billion.
