Alweendo appeals to workforce to prepare for new industry opportunities

WINDHOEK, 13 DEC (NAMPA) – The Minister of Mines and Energy, Tom Alweendo, on Thursday officially launched the Industrial Baseline Survey (IBS) in Windhoek.
The IBS is a study that aimed to measure Namibia’s industrial and workforce readiness for oil and gas projects. It looked at resources and future development needs, identifying possible chances to increase capacity and capability.
Deloitte Namibia began conducting the IBS last year in July.
