The Namibia Press Agency, (NAMPA), was established in 1991 as a national news agency responsible for the distribution of local, regional and international news.

NAMPA Otjozondjupa Bureau

The Otjozondjupa Regional Office is based in the town of Otjiwarongo, some 240 kilometres north of the capital.

The office is headed by Regional Bureau Chief Mr Mulisa Simiyasa.

His primary tasks include investigating community-based stories of national concern, writing features on development within the region and covering regional events in the spheres of politics, business, education, health, crime and sports

He also produced video clips for NAMPA TV and manages the daily office activities.

The Otjiwarongo also covers places and towns such as Okakarara, Omaruru, Outjo, Grootfontein, Tsumeb and Tsumkwe.
