The Namibia Press Agency, (NAMPA), was established in 1991 as a national news agency responsible for the distribution of local, regional and international news.

NAMPA Kharas Regional Bureau

Based in the town of Keetmanshoop, located some 500 kilometres from the capital Windhoek in the far south of Namibia. The Regional Bureau Chief is Ms. Patience Smith.

The office is responsible for providing news and events coverage for towns such as Mariental, Karasburg, Noordoewer, Luderitz and Ariamsvlei. The news agency also provides news coverage to villages, farms and settlements in the Karas Region such as Vaalgras, Aus, Snyfontein, Berseba, Aroab, Koes, Aussenkher and Tses among others.

The office number is 12 and is located in Dr Jacobs building, next to the Polytechnic Centre, corner of 5 De Laan and Luchten streets in Keetmanshoop.
