Yields on US government bonds spiked Wednesday after the September consumer price index report showed inflation accelerated more than expected. Following the report, the yield on the 10-year US Treasury note stood at 5.32 percent, up from 5.21 Tuesday, while yields on other bonds also climbed. The data showed inflation rose 3.7 percent on a year-on-year basis. jmb/md ...
