Shida Bazyar wins German Book Prize

Frankfurt (dpa) - This year's German Book Prize has been awarded to author Shida Bazyar for her novel "Die Lücken" ("Omissions"). The announcement was made by the German Publishers and Booksellers Association in Frankfurt. The jury described the book as a "novel against indifference," stating that it reflects a hundred years of ambivalent German life.
