Tokyo stocks end lower on profit-taking

TOKYO, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks closed lower on Friday as investors took profits after the previous day's surge, while higher crude oil futures also weighed on the market. The benchmark Nikkei stock index, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average, ended down 647.26 points, or 0.94 percent, from Thursday at 68,309.46.
