TOKYO, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.9 struck southern Ibaraki Prefecture, northeast of Tokyo, early Tuesday, with shaking clearly felt in the Japanese capital. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the temblor occurred at around 4:45 a.m. local time at a depth of about 50 kilometers.
