Pope Leo XIV told victims of clerical abuse he met in France on Sunday that he was committed to preventing any further harm and hoped to "work" with them, the Vatican said. The US pontiff thanked the victims "for their painful testimony and reaffirmed his commitment to do everything possible to ensure that the harm they suffered is not repeated for others" and expressed "his hope of being able to work together", it said. cmk/ah/tw ...
