Pope Leo on Saturday began a giant open-air mass in Paris, leading hundreds of thousands in prayer at Place de la Concorde and along the adjoining Champs-Elysees. The service began after the pontiff travelled down the French capital's iconic avenue in his popemobile, cheered by the faithful lining the route.
