China's STAR Composite Index opens higher Tuesday

BEIJING, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- The STAR Composite Index, which reflects the performance of stocks on China's sci-tech innovation board, opened 1.68 percent higher at 1,989.85 points on Tuesday. The STAR 50 Index, which tracks the 50 largest stocks listed on the board that also meet certain liquidity requirements, opened 2.51 percent higher at 1,699.05 points.
