Slovakia sees surge in car ownership, growth in green mobility

BRATISLAVA, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- The number of cars in Slovakia has doubled over the past two decades to 3.8 million, while the country is seeing a shift toward greener transport, according to data released by the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic on Monday. An average of about 105,000 cars have been added to Slovakia's roads each year, the office said in a statement marking European Mobility Week which was held from Sept. 16 to 22. Th......
