Berlin (dpa) - The far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) won the state election in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, its second state victory in just two weeks, while German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's conservative party suffered its worst-ever showing in its 81-year history, according to preliminary results.
