CANBERRA, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Over 250,000 Australian homes will be vulnerable to damage from coastal flooding by the year 2100 as a result of rising sea levels, according to a new report. The report, which was released on Thursday by NGO the Climate Council, estimated that rising sea levels and storm surges will cost the national economy 855 billion Australian dollars (617.3 billion U.S. dollars) in the 21st century.
