Kangaroo on the run after escaping from enclosure in southern Germany

Stuttgart (dpa) - A search is under way in southern Germany after a kangaroo escaped from a private enclosure, police said on Wednesday. The kangaroo's owners alerted the police after noticing the marsupial was missing on Wednesday morning. The animal is believed to be inside a forest near the village of Kirchheim am Ries, some 85 kilometres east of Stuttgart, according to a police spokesman.
