Afghanistan inks oil, gas deal with Saudi firm for Kushk-Tirpul basin

KABUL, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan has signed a contract with Saudi Arabia's Delta Energy International for the exploration and extraction of the Kushk-Tirpul oil block, the office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs announced on Monday. Under the terms of the agreement, the Saudi company will commit an initial investment of 200 million U.S. dollars toward the exploration and development of seven gas blocks in the Kushk area......
