Carlos Alcaraz said Wednesday he plans to play fewer tournaments in future, blaming an "impossible" tennis calendar for a rising number of injuries in the sport. Alcaraz, who has only just returned from a four-month layoff caused by a wrist injury, was speaking after he moved into the third round of the US Open with a four-set defeat of Portugal's Jaime Faria.
