Germany expands alcohol ban to four more train stations

Berlin (dpa) - A ban on alcohol consumption came into force at four more German train stations, including in Berlin, on Tuesday, as operator Deutsche Bahn seeks to improve security for staff and passengers. Alcohol consumption is to be prohibited at all 5,400 train stations nationwide by October 15. The ban does not affect alcohol sales at station shops.
