Berlin (dpa) - A German woman confessed to pretending her young son had cancer to obtain a total of ?358,000 ($415,000) in donations for his alleged treatment, at the start of her trial on Monday. Prosecutors accuse the 42-year-old of having feigned her son's illness between September 2021 and October 2024 when he was between 5 and 8 years old. She is said to have come up with the idea after a dermatological examination of the child had revealed......
