TAIPEI, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Recent economic data from Taiwan show a widening gap between a booming high-tech manufacturing sector and traditional industries that continue to struggle. Industry groups and economists on the island say the persistent imbalances call for a more balanced allocation of industrial resources, so that the rapid expansion of one sector does not come at the expense of others.
