Gamescom opens in Cologne with record 1,700-plus exhibitors

Cologne (dpa) - The world's largest video games trade fair, Gamescom, has opened in the German city of Cologne with a record number of exhibitors, with more than 1,700 companies, associations and other organizations represented at the five-day event, organizers said on Wednesday.
