Meta Agrees to Pay $18Bln to Settle US Child Protection Lawsuit - Statement

WASHINGTON, August 26 (RIA Novosti) - Meta (designated as an extremist organization in Russia) will pay $18 billion to settle a child protection lawsuit brought by US prosecutors, the company said on Wednesday. "The agreement includes a payment of approximately $18 billion, which can be used to fund youth online safety initiatives, among other state priorities," the company said in a statement.
