MOSCOW, August 24 (RIA Novosti) - The Lithuanian armed forces have deployed a Norwegian Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) on the outskirts of the capital city Vilnius, Lithuanian broadcaster LRT reported on Monday. The medium-range air defense system was deployed to strengthen airspace protection amid a rise in drone incursions into eastern NATO countries, replacing a RBS-70 short-range system, the report read.
