Polio vaccination campaign begins in 5 Afghan provinces

KABUL, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan government on Monday launched a polio vaccination campaign targeting children in five provinces to prevent further spread of the disease, local media outlet TOLOnews reported, citing the Ministry of Public Health. Over 2,580,000 children in 39 districts across Nangarhar, Kunar, Kabul, Herat and Farah provinces are expected to receive polio vaccines during the campaign, said the report. The campaign is a......
