EU allows VW sale of majority share of Everllence to US investor

Brussels (dpa) - The European Commission has allowed German carmaker Volkswagen to sell a majority stake in its large-scale engine subsidiary Everllence. The sale of 51% of its shares in the company to the US private equity firm Bain Capital does not raise any competition concerns, the commission said on Thursday.
