BANGKOK, August 8 (RIA Novosti) - Laos declared a five-day national mourning period after the Southeast Asian nation's respected parliamentary president passed away on Saturday at the age of 70. Xaysomphone Phomvihane, president of the National Assembly and a member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party politburo, died in the morning from vasculitis, an autoimmune disease.
