Macao population stands at 686,500 in H1 2026

MACAO, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- The population of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) stood at 686,500 at the end of the first half of 2026, an increase of 600 year-on-year, the SAR's statistics service said on Friday. Females accounted for 54.0 percent of the total population, with 371,000 females and 315,500 males, said the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC). A total of 1,340 live births were recorded in the first half of the year.......
