Italy's Health Ministry Declares Maximum Heat Alert in 19 Cities

MOSCOW, July 30 (RIA Novosti) - The Italian Health Ministry put 19 cities, including Rome, on red alert on Thursday due to extreme heat. The highest alert level is also in effect in Bologna, Bolzano, Brescia, Cagliari, Campobasso, Civitavecchia, Florence, Frosinone, Latina, Milan, Naples, Perugia, Pescara, Rieti, Turin, Venice, Verona and Viterbo, according to the ministry's daily bulletin.
