Guyana Ferry Disaster Death Toll Rises to 72 - Prime Minister

MEXICO CITY, July 24 (RIA Novosti) - The death toll from the MV Barima ferry disaster in Guyana has risen to 72, Guyanese Prime Minister Mark Phillips said on Friday. "As of Thursday, 23 July 2026, a total of 72 bodies have been recovered," Phillips said on social media, adding that 65 of the victims have been identified by their families.
