NEW YORK, July 3 (RIA Novosti) - New Yorkers have to ride the city's subway at temperatures above plus 96 degrees Fahrenheit (36 degrees Celsius), a RIA Novosti correspondent reported from the New York City subway. Since Wednesday the city experiences extreme heat. On Thursday, temperatures topped 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and a heat wave caused asphalt to melt​​​.
