Frankfurt (dpa) - Germany's DAX index hit a record high on Thursday to mark the start of the second stock market half-year, ending a nearly six-month period in which investors had watched other global indices race ahead. The benchmark index closed 2.16% higher at 25,580.88 points, after reaching an intraday peak of just under 25,656 points.
