London (PA Media/dpa) - The UK's highest June temperature was surpassed for the third day in a row as the record-breaking heatwave peaked at 37.3 degrees Celsius. Friday was confirmed by the Met Office as the UK's hottest June day on record, with a provisional temperature of 37.3 degrees recorded in Santon Downham, Suffolk, surpassing the high of 36.7 degrees recorded in Merryfield, Somerset, on Thursday.
