Ukrainian Population of Czech Prisons Up 120% Since 2022 – Justice Minister

MOSCOW, June 15 (RIA Novosti) - The number of Ukrainians in Czech prisons stood at 496 as of 2026, which is 120% higher than in 2022, Czech Justice Minister Jeronym Tejc was cited as saying by the Czech News Agency (CTK) on Monday. "In 2022, there were 226 Ukrainians in Czech prisons. This year, there are already 496, which represents an increase of nearly 120 percent," Tejc said​​​.
