Argentina central defender Leonardo Balerdi has been ruled out of the World Cup with a calf injury, the world champions announced on Saturday. The 27-year-old Marseille player who has 11 caps is suffering from a "suffered a muscle injury in the soleus of his right leg and will not be able to be part of the squad playing in the World Cup," the Argentine national team wrote on social media, wishing the player a speedy recovery.
