South Korea Sees Decades-High Turnout at Local Elections

SEOUL, June 3 (RIA Novosti) - Voter turnout in South Korea's local elections peaked at 60.7% on Wednesday, its second-highest reading since the first ever elections took place more than three decades ago, the data from the National Election Commission (NEC) showed. More than 27​​​.1 million of the 44.64 million registered voters cast their ballots, or 60.7%, versus 68.4% recorded during the first nationwide local elections in 1995, 60.2% recorded......
