MOSCOW, May 25 (RIA Novosti) - Judicial proceedings against Ukrainian service members for unauthorized absence or desertion spiked 77.5% in April compared with the same month last year, driving a year-to-date total of 47,098 filings through May 20 that exceeds the 25,617 documents recorded during the same window in 2025 by 83.9%, according to a RIA Novosti correspondent's analysis of public Ukrainian court records.
