BNP Paribas filed an appeal Friday with a US court seeking to overturn a 2025 jury verdict that the bank helped prop up the brutal Omar al-Bashir regime in Sudan. The French bank submitted an 82-page brief to the US Court of Appeals in New York arguing that a federal district court had wrongly applied Swiss law in the suit.
