Jonas Vingegaard won the ninth stage of the Giro d'Italia on Sunday, edging ahead on a long, slow climb to Corno alle Scale and taking 40 seconds out of his deficit on leader Afonso Eulalio. This was Vingegaard's second stage win here but surprise overall leader and fifth-place finisher Eulalio kept his losses to a limit and remains just shy of 2min 30sec ahead of the Dane.
