Spanish doctors board as disembarkation from hantavirus ship begins

Madrid (dpa) - Medical personnel went aboard the Hondius, the cruise ship hit by an outbreak of the hantavirus, when it arrived off the Spanish Atlantic Ocean island of Tenerife on Sunday, the Health Ministry in Madrid reported. The medical team is conducting an epidemiological investigation for symptoms caused by the virus, after which passengers and crew would be disembarked in stages for repatriation by air, the ministry said.
