Manchester, England (PA Media/dpa) - Interim coach Michael Carrick was over the moon to see Kobbie Mainoo commit his future to Manchester United and hopes to give him the platform to thrive in Sunday's "standout" clash with rivals Liverpool. The talented 21-year-old this week signed an improved contract to keep him at his boyhood club until 2031 having enjoyed a marked turnaround in circumstances since the turn of the year.
