Brazilian lawmakers on Thursday debated whether to overturn President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's veto of a bill dramatically reducing the prison sentence of his far-right rival Jair Bolsonaro. The left-wing Lula vetoed a bill adopted by Congress late last year which would slash former president Bolsonaro's sentence from 27 years to a little over two.
