Spanish energy giant Repsol reported a surge in first-quarter profits on Thursday after the Middle East war's disruption to oil markets increased the value of its stocks. Repsol "again demonstrated its resilience, even in a turbulent context" by posting 929 million euros ($1.1 billion) of profit from January to March, the company said in a statement.
