British bank Barclays on Tuesday reported that net profits edged up 3.6 percent to 1.9 billion pounds ($2.6 billion) in the first quarter despite the Middle East war. Soon after the results were announced, Barclays shares dipped nearly three percent on the London Stock Exchange before rebounding to trade close to their previous value.
