Italian court rules for Greek victims of Nazi atrocity in 1944

Rome (dpa) - Italy's highest court recently ruled that foreign victims of Nazi-era crimes can pursue compensation claims against German assets held in Italy, including those of Germany's state-run rail operator Deutsche Bahn. The case concerns legal action brought by the Greek victims of the Distomo massacre, when Waffen SS troops killed 218 inhabitants of the village of Distomo on June 10, 1944.
