The hosts of the COP31 climate summit said Tuesday that a major energy shock rattling the global economy reinforced the need to invest in renewable alternatives to fossil fuels. Dozens of climate ministers are in Germany to discuss priorities ahead of the UN-sponsored negotiations being held in Turkey and co-hosted with Australia in November.
