Survey: German carmakers boost China R&D as competition intensifies

Beijing (dpa) - German automotive companies operating in China are increasingly focusing on local research and development as competitive pressure intensifies, according to a survey. Some 73% of 42 responding firms in the sector conduct research and development in China, the German Chamber of Commerce in China said on Tuesday.
